Nowadays Syntex produces ferrimanitol ovoalbumin (FMOA), an iron derivative for oral administration providing good absorption and which is not irritating to the digestive tract. Syntex has also developed a soy ferric protein (SFP), chondroitin sulfate-iron complexes, sodium gluconate ferric complexes and iron sacarose.
